Finding great running routes in a new city just got easier. We've launched city-specific route pages that let you browse all the routes our community has mapped in any location - from major cities like London and Calgary to smaller towns across the UK, Canada, and beyond.
We created this section of the site to help you easily find running and cycling routes in your city. I wanted to have another way, maybe an easier way, to just browse routes instead of the Search Routes page. The Search Routes page is ready for some enhancements and I have a plan to get that page working better and will add some polish to it as well.
What's New: Each city now has its own dedicated page showing all routes within the area. Visit /routes/gb/london for London, /routes/ca/calgary for Calgary, or explore thousands of other cities worldwide.
The pages feature:
- Interactive map showing all route locations at a glance
- Activity filtering - switch between running and cycling routes, or view all activities
- Distance filtering - narrow results to under 5km, 5-10km, 10-20km, or 20+ km to find routes that match your workout
- Sorting options - most popular, newest, longest, or shortest
- Route previews with distance and view counts
- Nearby cities to explore neighboring areas

Quick Access from Every Page: We've also added our most popular cities to the footer across the entire site. Whether you're browsing routes, reading the blog, or checking your training log, you can jump straight to route pages for major cities in the UK, Canada, US, and beyond - all with a single click.

Why This Matters: With over 100,000 routes in our database, finding routes for a specific location used to mean searching and scrolling. Now you can land directly on a city page and see everything the community has mapped there - whether that's 4,000+ routes in London or a handful of local gems in a smaller town.
Planning a race trip? Moving to a new city? Just curious what's near your hotel? These pages give you instant access to runner-tested routes created by people who actually know the area.
Try It Out:
- London - 4,149 routes
- Manchester
- Calgary
- Boston
- Toronto
- Los Angeles
- Dublin
Or search for your city from the route search page.
Below the map is a list of nearby cities to the one you have selected. This way you can navigate to other cities that are close to see what new routes you may find there as well. This is a fun and easy way to browse around routes you may not have otherwise found.

Coming Soon: We're continuing to improve these pages with better route coverage and additional filtering options. Have a city that needs more routes? Create one and help other runners discover your favorite runs.
